About

Welcome to Breathing Margins! My name is Jisun An and this website showcases my visual design work and blog posts.

I’ve studied visual design and art. I have a B.A. Visual Communication Design from Ohio State University, a B.F.A. Art Education from Sungkyunkwan University, and a M.S.in Digital Media from the Georgia Institute of Technology.

I have extensive work experience in visual design. I worked as a freelance designer and interned at Wexner Center for the Arts. After that I worked as a graphic designer at Lorenc+Yoo Design. Then I worked at Fleishman-Hillard Digital in Washington, D.C. At Georgia Tech, I worked for the [ICE] Lab/Studio and Public Design Workshop. And I am currently working as a graphic designer at the University of Michigan and as a graphic design instructor at Herzing University.

As a visual designer, my responsibility has always been to present clear and compelling information through graphics and text. Working at the Wexner Center for the Arts, I learned how to organize and emphasize information with beautiful typography. At Lorenc+Yoo Design, I learned how visual design interacts with the physical environment. At Georgia Tech I learned about interaction design and interface design.

My resume can be viewed below and downloaded here.
